Cider Bourbon Sauce

apple cider

bourbon or rye whiskey

cornstarch

cup (250 ml)
light brown sugar, firmly packed

unsalted butter
DIRECTIONS
- Combine sugar and cornstarch in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Stir in apple cider and salt.
- Increase heat to medium-high and bring to a boil, stirring constantly for 4 minutes or until thickened.
- Reduce heat to medium, stir in butter and bourbon and simmer until well blended.
- Drizzle over warm pie slices.
- Can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
